Dec 6, 2016: Construction consultancy firm, Hill International, has bagged a contract from APM Terminals MedPort Tangier SA to provide project management and supervision engineering services for the construction of a new container facility at the Tangier-Med Port Container Terminal in Morocco.

The two-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of between $6 million to $7.4 million approximately.

The Tangier-Med Port complex, which is one of the largest ports in Africa, is constructed on the Straits of Gibraltar, a central artery of global shipping with over 200 vessels a day passing through carrying trade between Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.

“We are honored that APM Terminals MedPort Tangier has chosen Hill to assist with this important project,” said Waleed Abdel-Fattah, senior vice president and managing director (Africa) for Hill’s Project Management Group. “We are confident that our team will deliver on all expectations,” Abdel-Fattah added.
