May 03, 2017: RwandAir is set to link the Harare and Lusaka route following its recent maiden introduction of the direct flight from Kigali to Harare early in April.

The airline will pick and drop passengers from Kigali going to Lusaka via Harare, says Gobena Mikael, General Manager, Commercial for RwandAir.

The maiden flight launched on 5 April 2017, which initially touched down in Lusaka on its way to Harare was successful, says the airline, which is optimistic of future viable business prospects in the regional route.

According to Munesu Munodawafa, Permanent Secretary for Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, the inaugural flight of RwandAir on the Kigali to Harare International airport route signifies growing confidence in Zimbabwe as a destination of choice.

He said that Zimbabwe has been courting RwandAir, one of the fastest growing airlines in Africa for the past 10 years.
