Cabo Verde Airlines to wet lease B737 ahead of expansion plans
Cape Verdean airline Cabo Verde Airlines has struck additional wet lease deals to cater for its route expansion plans announced recently.
August 22, 2019: Cape Verdean airline Cabo Verde Airlines has struck additional wet lease deals to cater for its route expansion plans announced recently.
The airline has more recently signed a wet lease for an ATR42 aircraft, followed by another for a B737, the latter likely to be used for the planned flights to Lagos and later in the year to Luanda.
Majority owner Loftleidir Icelandic, itself owned by the Icelandair Group is understood to be seeking more permanent arrangements for a fleet increase in the future.
Effective December 9, it will start flying to Lagos, Nigeria; and Luanda, Angola; and from December 11 will fly to Porto Alegre, Brazil; and Washington DC, the US.
