Airlink to resume regional flights from Oct 5; to launch Maputo service
Airlink is planning to restore regional flights to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, and Mozambique, which will be commencing from October 5.
September 23, 2020: South Africa's Airlink is planning to restore regional flights to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, and Mozambique, which will be commencing from October 5, 2020 in a phased manner.
Travellers can combine their local and regional flights from cities such as Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London, Bloemfontein, and Nelspruit, to regional destinations such as Harare, Lusaka, and Maputo.
The introduction of a daily mid-morning service will provide travellers with seamless connectivity from October 5 between Johannesburg and Cape Town as well as local routes such as Port Elizabeth, East London and others. The flight will depart Johannesburg at 10:30 hrs arriving in Harare at 12:10 hrs. The return flight will depart Harare at 12:40 hrs arriving in Johannesburg at 14:35 hrs.
The new route from Johannesburg to Maputo will operate on Wednesdays and Fridays from October 12.
Regular services will also be introduced from Johannesburg to Bulawayo, Walvis Bay, Ndola, Lusaka, Pemba Northern Mozambique, Beira, and Tete; and from Cape Town to Windhoek.
The airline will soon begin services from Johannesburg to Windhoek, Entebbe, Dar es Salaam, Luanda, Lubumbashi, Gaborone, Maun, Kasane, Antananarivo, Nosy Be, Vilanculos, Maseru, Manzini, and Livingston; and from Cape Town to Victoria Falls and Maun.
