June 21, 2018: Yusen Logistics has added two new GDP-certified pharmaceutical warehouses to its network. The opening of the Yusen Logistics Antwerp Healthcare Center took place in Melsele, Belgium. In the presence of customers, local authorities and representatives of the Port of Antwerp, the official opening was done by Kenji Mizushima, president of Yusen Logistics Co Ltd.

The state-of-the-art Antwerp Healthcare Center, adjacent to the existing Yusen Logistics Antwerp Distribution Center (ADC), is equipped with an 'ambient' storage facility (15-25 ° C) with a capacity of approximately 10,000 pallet places and a cold store (2-8 ° C) section with a capacity of more than 4,000 pallets.

Later on the same day, the Yusen Logistics Roosendaal Healthcare Center, located in the Borchwerf II industrial area near Roosendaal, the Netherlands, was opened. This certified pharma-logistics facility was specifically developed in response to the increasing demand for high-quality logistics solutions from pharmaceutical industry sector and manufacturers in the Netherlands. This warehouse has a total capacity of over 11,000 square metr.

This additional 20,000 square metre of GDP-certified warehouse is a substantial expansion to the services that Yusen Logistics already offers in the Netherlands and Belgium to the pharmaceutical sector.
