Yebeltal Getachew to take charge as CEO of Twiga East Africa
Effective May 3, Yebeltal Getachew will assume the charge as chief executive officer of Twiga Foods East Africa.
- Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Getachew spent five years in the logistics sector.
April 23, 2021: Effective May 3, Yebeltal Getachew will assume the charge as chief executive officer of Twiga Foods East Africa.
Getachew will lead the commercial growth and expansion of Twiga’s business in Kenya and across the borders into the wider East Africa market.
He has over 20 years commercial and franchise leadership experience gained leading business operations in East Africa, as country manager in Tanzania, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Uganda, and Mozambique and later managing director / vice president in the Nigeria business for the Coca-Cola.
Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Getachew spent five years in the logistics sector rising to the position of operations director for urgent cargo handling.
Peter Njonjo, co-founder and CEO of Twiga added that effective June 1, Getachew will take on the role of group CEO, working on building the organisation capacity and capability as Twiga embarks on its expansion across the African continent.
