SAA in deal with Africa World Airlines to spread wings in Ghana
South African Airways (SAA) CEO Vuyani Jarana and John Quan, CEO of Africa World Airlines (AWA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the ministry of aviation in Accra, Ghana.
Feb 28, 2019: South African Airways (SAA) CEO Vuyani Jarana and John Quan, CEO of Africa World Airlines (AWA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the ministry of aviation in Accra, Ghana.
It allows the two airlines to enhance their relationship through synergies that include code sharing, franchising, and any other related projects.
SAA operates daily flights between Johannesburg and Accra, with four of the flights continuing onwards to Washington and the other three to Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire.
In April, SAA will increase the frequency of flights from Accra to Washington to five flights per week.
