RwandAir’s new Johannesburg-Lusaka service to meet growing cargo demand
RwandAir has added five new direct weekly flights from Johannesburg to Lusaka
Nov 03, 2018: RwandAir has added five new direct weekly flights from Johannesburg to Lusaka. According to Thembela Dladla, RwandAir South Africa country manager, the additional flights are expected to accommodate the increased cargo demand between South Africa and Zambia, and from Zambia to the rest of Africa.
The route will be operated by an A330-300 wide body aircraft.
The airline has sixth freedom rights which allows it to pick up passengers and cargo from South Africa and transport them to Zambia. He said that some countries did not allow this in order to protect their markets. The flights are scheduled to fly on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
