June 19, 2019: RwandAir recently flew its inaugural flight from Kigali to Guangzhou using an A330-300 for the service.

The route will initially be served three times a week every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with the return flight landing back in Kigali the following day.

This aircraft is configured in a three-class layout of the business, premium economy - incidentally still one of Africa's only such separate cabin offerings and economy classes.

The flight will take 14 hours and 50 minutes to reach the Chinese city and routes via Mumbai in India, making it the longest such service by RwandAir.

Recently, RwandAir has added Addis Ababa to its growing network, now covering 28 destinations. When additional Airbus long haul aircraft are delivered later this year, then flights to New York are also on consideration.
