NAS renews ISAGO registration for the fifth time
National Aviation Services has renewed it’s the International Air Transport Association Safety Audit for Ground Operations
August 27, 2021: National Aviation Services (NAS) has renewed it’s the International Air Transport Association’s Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) for the fifth time. In 2008, NAS was one of the first ground handling companies to be ISAGO registered and since then has been consistently conforming to IATA’s highest standards of safety in operations processes and procedures.
Currently, NAS holds station accreditations at seven locations in Africa and the Middle East.
The ISAGO certification is an industry global standard for assessing operational management and control system for ground handling service providers. Based on industry-proven quality audit principles, ISAGO follows a stringent and structured process that reviews training, management system policies, processes, and procedures, etc.
Following a successful renewal audit at its headquarters, NAS was ISAGO registered for cargo and mail handling, organisation and management, load control, passenger and baggage handling (PAB), aircraft handling and loading, and aircraft ground movement.
Hassan El-Houry, Group CEO, NAS, said, “It’s always great to see NAS recognised for safety in the area of ground operations. This is the fifth time we have received the ISAGO recognition and it is even more significant because we managed the audit in between a global pandemic and airport closures. This posed several challenges, but we managed to sail through with adaptability and resilience. Despite the difficulties, we continued to persevere and serve the industry to drive its full potential and kept essential supply chains across our network flowing uninterrupted.”
NAS is present in more than 50 airports across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa and offers an expanded portfolio of aviation services that include lounge management, innovative technology solutions, travel solutions and training.
