Nairobi’s JKIA handles day-old chicks from Amsterdam
Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) has received a part of the day-old chicks journey.
August 25, 2020: Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) has received a part of the day-old chicks journey as the broiler parent stock moved from Amsterdam to Kenbrid Farms Naivasha, through the partner airline KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from Amsterdam Airport Schipol.
Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) revealed thorugh its LinkedIn page.
Recently, KAA facilitated the holding of 44 Dorper Rams that arrived from South Africa via Singapore Airlines. The precious cargo was held at the animal holding facility at JKIA.
The authority has recently refurbished the facility to hold more animals and enhance transhipment of live animals via JKIA.
