Lynne Embleton replaces Drew Crawley as CEO of IAG Cargo
Aviation - Lynne Embleton, current managing director, British Airways at Gatwick, is to become chief executive of IAG Cargo with immediate effect.
Apr 05, 2017: Lynne Embleton, current managing director, British Airways at Gatwick, is to become chief executive of IAG Cargo with immediate effect. She will also join the IAG management committee, reporting directly into its chief executive Willie Walsh.
Lynne will replace Drew Crawley, who becomes chief executive of Avios, which is the Group's loyalty programme. Drew will remain a member of the IAG management committee, directly reporting into Willie Walsh.
Lynne has over 25 years of experience across the group, heading up strategy at British Airways, before moving on to become British Airways managing director at Gatwick. Lynne previously sat on the IAG Cargo board as a non-executive director for over 4 years, providing her with an excellent understanding of the challenges that face the cargo industry.
Walsh, said, "Lynne's extensive experience across Group strategy as well as on the IAG Cargo board will be invaluable in the continued growth of our cargo business. She succeeds Drew following his appointment as chief executive of Avios. With Drew's significant experience across the loyalty sector, he has the skill and drive to develop our Group-wide loyalty programme even further."
