Lufthansa to start direct flights to Mombasa by July

May 25, 2021: Lufthansa will commence flights to Mombasa on July 24 on its new leisure carrier Eurowings Discover. It will comprise of two weekly flight services between Frankfurt and Mombasa with onward flights to Zanzibar.

The announcement on the launch of flights has nevertheless been delayed from March by Covid-19 related disruptions to global aviation.

Further, Lufthansa will expand the new service to a frequency of four times a week from June 2022.

Along with this increased frequency, it plans to expand the destination portfolio, by adding a double weekly tag flight from Mombasa to Kilimanjaro, whilst continuing double weekly tag flights from Mombasa to Zanzibar.
