May 13, 2019: Starting June 10, 2019, Kenya Airways will resume to Malindi with four weekly flights. The new flights will be operated by JamboJet using a Bombardier Q400 aircraft with a 78 seating capacity.

The airline's re-entry to Malindi, known as 'Little Italy' in Kenya will give a great boost to the town, well-known for its strong Italian connections, as the airline prepares to launch its Rome to Geneva flights on June 12, 2019. This is expected to create seamless connections and boost the flow of passengers between Italy and Malindi.

Through the codeshare partnership with Alitalia, passengers from all over Italy will also be able to access the beautiful Kenya coastal town of Malindi through a one-stop service via Nairobi.

Ursula Silling, Kenya Airways chief commercial officer, said, "As part of our growth strategy, we seek to link key markets within our network to allow passengers seamless connectivity from all points."

The flights will operate on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from Nairobi and on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from Malindi.
