May 12, 2020: Kenya Airways will send a repatriation flight from London to Nairobi on May 15. Kenyan citizens with Covid-19 test results will only be allowed to board.

With the support of the government of Kenya, Kenya Airways has brought home fellow Kenyan's from Guangzhou, China, just in time for Mother's Day. Even a repatriation flight from Mumbai was also flown last week.

In Mid-April, Kenya Airways dispatched a cargo flight using B787 Dreamliner passenger aircraft from Nairobi to London loaded with 40 tonnes of fresh produce. The move is a huge relief for the horticulture sector, which suffered massive losses due to a lack of access to its key markets after the pandemic shut down global travel.

The airline dispatched cargo flights to Johannesburg and Amsterdam. From March 30, 2020, Kenya Airways Cargo started a new direct service using B737F to Johannesburg, South Africa.

The airline has been actively involved in carrying essentials and supporting the Kenyan horticulture industry since Covid-19 has hit the continent and global supply chain.
