Kenya Airports Authority appoints Alex Gitari as MD, CEO
Kenya Airports Authority has announced the appointment of Alex Gitari as managing director and chief executive officer.
July 16, 2021: Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has appointed Alex Gitari as managing director and chief executive officer. He was the acting MD until he took the permanent position on July 8.
“It is with great pleasure that I announce on behalf of the KAA board of directors the appointment of Alex Gitari as the MD/CEO of KAA for a term of three years. Gitari emerged as the best candidate after a rigorous interview process which was conducted as per the KAA Act and Public Service Commission guidelines,†said board session chairperson, Susan Kiama.
Gitari holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Nairobi, an advanced management programme from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelors Degree of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Nairobi.
