EgyptAir Cargo operates 100 cargo flights in three weeks; starts to fly B777 passenger freighters
EgyptAir Cargo has started to fly its B777 passenger freighter’s bellyhold capacity to bring medical equipment from China.
April 15, 2020: As part of its response to the Covid-19 pandemic, EgyptAir Cargo has started to utilise its B777 passenger freighter’s bellyhold capacity to bring medical equipment from China, in addition to its freighters already operating scheduled flights to - Hong Kong, Bangkok, Jeddah, Riyadh, Sharjah, Dubai, Beyrouth, Amman, Johannesburg, Khartoum, Kuwait, and Istanbul. The news was revealed on the LinkedIn page of Ayman Elhifnawy, cargo manager at EgyptAir Cargo.
EgyptAir Cargo has been transporting essential cargoes throughout the continent and a total of 100 cargo flights were undertaken between March 23 and April 10.
