Apr 17, 2017: The Bollore Group and the ADEME (Environment and Energy Management Agency) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the implementation of a decentralised rural electrification programme in Guinea.
Blue Solutions subsidiary of Bollore group will deploy a pilot project in the first half of 2017, to bring electricity to villages located in upper Guinea that is not connected to the national grid.
This first step is part of a global Guinean programme of decentralised rural electrification covering 14 villages in Upper Guinea. This cooperation strengthens the operations carried out by States in the framework of the African Renewable Energy Initiative.
Bollore Transport & Logistics team will support Blue Solutions mission by providing human, technical and financial resources to implement the project.
The electrification of this isolated village represents a straight continuation of Blue Solutions projects around the development of its LMP batteries for electricity storage. In order to reduce the energy divide in Conakry, pioneering spaces have already been set up in Dixinn and Kaloum.
