Astral’s B727F carries humanitarian cargo to Goma
Astral Aviation performed a humanitarian flight on June 13 from its Nairobi Hub to Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, on behalf of Spartan Relief Supplies and DP World.
June 14, 2021: Astral Aviation performed a humanitarian flight on June 13 from its Nairobi Hub to Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, on behalf of Spartan Relief Supplies and DP World. The airline’s B727F carried 20 tonnes of humanitarian supplies, following the eruption of Mt Nyiragongo in Goma in May 2021,
During Mount Nyiragongo's last eruption in 2002, Astral came to the rescue with a number of humanitarian flights bringing aid to the displaced people in Goma.
Astral Aviation has been offering on demand charters on its diverse fleet of 14 cargo aircrafts which range from 5 tonnes to 100 tonnes.
