Astral Aviation to fly to four new African destinations from May 25
Effective May 25, Astral Aviation will fly to Lusaka, Zambia; Kismayo and Bosaso, Somalia; and Lilongwe, Malawi from Nairobi, Kenya.
May 19, 2020: Effective May 25, Astral Aviation will fly to Lusaka, Zambia; Kismayo and Bosaso, Somalia; and Lilongwe, Malawi from Nairobi, Kenya. The news was confimed in the LinkedIn page of Mustwafa Murad ACSI, commercial manager at Astral Aviation.
Lilongwe and Lusaka routes will be served weekly once using DC9F and B727F while DC9F will fly fortnightly to Somalia.
DC9F and B727F aircraft have a payload capacity of 14 tonnes and 22 tonnes, respectively.
The Nairobi-based cargo airline has updated the frequency of routes operated currently. It will serve Juba, Mwanza, Mogadishu, Dar es Salaam (twice weekly); Entebbe, Zanzibar, Johannesburg (weekly); and Pemba, Hargeisa (fortnightly).
Astral is even providing adhoc flights to Kigali, Moroni, Khartoum, Goma, Asmara, Harare, Bujumbura, and Djibouti.
