May 09, 2019: Switzerland-headquartered fuel purchasing service Valcora has opened an office in Johannesburg, South Africa, to meet the growing need for reliable fuel purchasing options for local, intra and intercontinental operators and owners. It is Valcora's first African venture.

The growth of the business aviation fleet in countries such as Angola, Ethiopia and Kenya supported the decision. The company believes that African operators will benefit in particular from its experience in handling the complexities of European taxes. The intelligent system automatically calculates fiscal obligations in Europe ensuring customer tax commitments are correctly and fairly determined to optimise operating budgets.

“The growing business aviation sector needs access to easy, international, fuel purchasing options to support continued economic growth in Africa. Johannesburg provides the perfect springboard from which to support this need.  South Africa has an established business infrastructure, reliable banking institutions, and an excellent pool of people to hire from which will all support our own business growth, and enables us to better serve our clients,” said Daniel Coetzer, CEO, Valcora.

Valcora’s continually enhanced fuel purchasing system delivers a fuel service which is already used by individual aircraft owners, corporate fleets, and some of the world’s largest business aviation operators. The new office joins a growing network of Valcora locations which already includes offices in Switzerland, Ireland, Singapore, and North America.
