Dec 26, 2016: Namibia is willing to be Africa’s logistics hub in the wake of the launch of the Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA), the country’s trade minister Immanuel Ngatjizekosaid.
Ngatjizeko, who attended the first-ever Africa Trade Forum in Addis Ababa that concluded earlier this month, said for the CFTA to be implemented, it is critical that there should be infrastructure development such as corridor logistics.
Ngatjizeko said that Namibia has made good progress in creating a logistics hub for Africa, and especially to boost regional and continental intra trade flow.
Ngatjizeko singled out the country’s port of Walvis Bay, which he said is well-developed to facilitate trade within the continent.
