MSC adds Ro-Ro service from Adriatic to Turkey

March 15, 2018 : Freight shipping line Mediterranean Shipping Co. has launched a new roll-on, roll-off service connecting Turkey and Italy.

Aimed at breakbulk, container and trailer cargo, the new service will commence from the third of April traveling from Turkey to Trieste and will complement MSC’s existing container service from Izmir. It will be served by two Con-Ro vessels, operating a twice-weekly service between Izmir and Trieste.

“MSC has been serving Turkey and South Europe markets through the Trieste gateway since 1994 and has a considerable agency presence in the whole Mediterranean area … As MSC continues to develop its presence in Mediterranean area, our teams will offer wider service coverage to all our clients,” a spokesperson for MSC said.

Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, MSC is the world’s second-largest shipping line in terms of container vessel capacity and also offers project cargo services worldwide.
