IATA postpones 77th AGM to October

The International Air Transport Association has rescheduled the 77th annual general meeting (AGM) between October 3 - 5, 2021.

IATA AGM will be hosted by JetBlue Airways in Boston, Massachusetts, as planned earlier.
  • Effective March 31, 2021, de Juniac will step down from his role. 
  • The initial dates announced were from June 27-29.

March 19, 2021: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has rescheduled the 77th annual general meeting (AGM) between October 3 - 5, 2021. The initial dates announced were from June 27-29.

The news was announced by Alexandre de Juniac, director general and CEO of IATA during a Media Update on Covid-19 on March 17.

The AGM will be hosted by JetBlue Airways in Boston, Massachusetts, as planned earlier. This will be the sixth time the global gathering of aviation’s leaders will take place in the United States and the first time it comes to Boston.

Effective March 31, 2021, de Juniac will step down from his role. He leaves IATA in March after leading it for four years. He will be replaced by Willie Walsh, former CEO of International Airlines Group (IAG) from April 1.
