Felix Kreutel to head Fraport AG’s cargo development and management
Aviation - Fraport AG has announced the appointment of Felix Kreutel as the head of its cargo development and management department. Kreutel will take over this role as on October 1.
August 03, 2017: Fraport AG has announced the appointment of Felix Kreutel as the head of its cargo development and management department. Kreutel will take over this role as on October 1.
Commenting on his new task, Kreutel said, “The air cargo industry is currently undergoing enormous changes. The rise of new technologies requires enhanced cooperation among all cargo partners to ensure our competitiveness on the global market. Maintaining a close contact with our customers is therefore even more important than before. My team and I wish to be a reliable and transparent partner for the cargo community. Together, we want to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the new technologies to strengthen and expand our position as Europe’s largest freight airport and as the industry’s innovation leader.”
Kreutel, who has a university degree in engineering, joined Fraport AG in 2000 as part of the Group’s trainee program. From 2001 to 2007 he held a position in Fraport’s Retail department, while simultaneously completing an Executive MBA at the University of Nottingham. Subsequently, he switched to Fraport AG’s Real Estate unit, where his responsibilities included master planning and real estate development. Since 2015, Kreutel has held the position of Vice President in Fraport’s Cargo & Logistics department.
Fraport AG’s executive board member and executive director operations, Anke Giesen, said, “We are delighted that Felix Kreutel will take over the helm of our cargo development & management department. Felix Kreutel is a very experienced, professional and competent Fraport executive, who is already familiar with the market and our customers.”
Felix Kreutel will succeed Dirk Schusdziara, who has successfully held this position for the previous two years. Schusdziara will become head of the commercial affairs department at Fraport AG’s airside and terminal management, corporate safety and security strategic business unit, where his responsibilities will include Fraport’s airport charges policy.
