Ethiopian schedules additional flights from Saudi Arabia

Aviation - Ethiopian Airlines has scheduled extra flights to transport Ethiopian passengers returning from Saudi Arabia.

June 2, 2017: Ethiopian Airlines has scheduled extra flights to transport Ethiopian passengers returning from Saudi Arabia.

Ethiopian Airlines is a member of the national task force organised to facilitate the safe return of Ethiopian nationals and is currently working in close coordination with the Ethiopian Embassies and Consulates at Jeddah, Riyadh and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Regarding these special arrangements, Tewolde GebreMariam, Group CEO Ethiopian Airlines, said, ''As a national flag carrier Ethiopian Airlines has proactively responded to this critical national demand and has finalised preparations to transport Saudi repatriates back to our homeland Ethiopia, with special arrangements to ensure easy access and flow of the travel process. In this regard, we have dispatched a dedicated team that will coordinate the flights at the new offices we have opened at Ethiopian Embassy and Consulate offices in Jeddah and Riyadh; operate extra flights to Medina, Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Gizan, while waiving the applicable rebooking penalty. We shall also add additional flights considering the volume of demand as required."
