July 03, 2019: Emirates SkyCargo has appointed its first Emirati female cargo managers for Kuwait and Oman operations.
Fatma Ahli and Alyazeya Saeed will be responsible for Kuwait and Oman, respectively. The two women graduated from Emirates SkyCargo's 18-month Commercial Management programme that provides UAE nationals with jobs in the air cargo industry.
Nabil Sultan, divisional senior vice president of Emirates Skycargo, said, "The programme has graduated more than 10 UAE nationals since 2014 who now occupy several senior roles in the organisation. I am confident that both Alyazeya and Fatma will be great assets to the team and we're very proud to see Emirati women succeed in the cargo logistics industry."
Alyazeya Saeed joined Emirates SkyCargo in 2016 with an MBA and a BA in International Business Management. After completing the course she was posted to Taiwan for outstation training followed by a brief period working as Cargo Commercial Operations manager for Europe.
Fatma Ahli graduated with a BA in Supply Chain Management from Abu Dhabi's Higher Colleges of Technology and was selected for the programme after joining Emirates SkyCargo in November 2016. Posted to Singapore to complete her outstation training, she became the company's Cargo Commercial and Operation manager for the Far East and Australasia.
