EgyptAir hosts regional summit with US TSA
EgyptAir has hosted over 40 security experts from airlines in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey.
June 12, 2019: EgyptAir has hosted over 40 security experts from airlines in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, to discuss the security of flights and the establishment of standard procedures on flights to the United States during the American Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Regional Industrial Summit (RIS) held between June 11-12.
The summit is held in Egypt for the first time and the third in the Middle East and Africa.
Ahmed Adel, the chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding, said, "EgyptAir is pioneering in the region and committed to international standards in aviation security AVSEC, thus we are honoured to host the summit."
The sessions will also address a number of vital and important issues in the security field, including electronic attacks, how to avoid them, securing data and information, and protecting assets and property, in addition to the exchange of security cultures among the countries participating in the summit.
