Bollore Ports’ subsidiary receives four new container gantry cranes
Bollore Ports’ subsidiary Conakry Terminal has received four new container gantry cranes at the Port Autonome de Conakry container Terminal. These new equipment will improve the terminal productivity by strengthening its current capabilities and will also increase its reliability to better secure handling operations.
June 22, 2018: Bollore Ports’ subsidiary Conakry Terminal has received four new container gantry cranes at the Port Autonome de Conakry container Terminal. These new equipment will improve the terminal productivity by strengthening its current capabilities and will also increase its reliability to better secure handling operations.
“The reception of these four gantries marks a new stage for Conakry Terminal. Their commissioning will boost all port activities and will constitute a great lever of productivity at the service of Guinean economic development,” said Tahirou Barry, CEO of Conakry Terminal.
In 7 years’ time, Bollore Ports invested close to 129 million euros to modernise and equip the container terminal. Through its investments, Bollore Ports plans to pursue its effort to make Conakry a more efficient, modern and attractive port.
