Bidvest Panalpina Logistics splits from DSV/Panalpina

November 7, 2019: After 46 years of a commercial partnership, Bidvest Panalpina Logistics (BPL) will split from DSV/Panalpina and trade in the future as Bidvest International Logistics, effective early 2020. The move is to boost its current position in the South African supply chain logistics market.

Bidvest International Logistics, a South African Company is owned by the Bidvest Group (89 percent) and Makana Investment Corporation (11 percent). Bidvest and Makana have been partners for the past 20 years, which demonstrates Bidvest's commitment to the transformation and the empowerment of South Africans. The MIC was established by the late, former President, Nelson Mandela, to look after the families of former political prisoners.
