March 13, 2020: Air Tanzania suspended its flights to Mumbai, India, effective today. This follows a declaration by India to suspend visas for foreign visitors apart from diplomats, official government visits, United Nations, World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other international organisations, till April 15, 2020.

Qatar Airways, Finnair, Delta, and Cathay Pacific were among the foreign carriers that announced flight cuts to India this week.

Tanzania, however, is keeping an eye on Covid-19 but has not yet imposed any strict measures.

Qatar Airways said while continuing flights to 13 Indian cities, it has reduced services from March 11 to three cities, viz., Doha-Kozhikode, Doha-Trivandrum, and Doha-Kochi.

RwandAir had temporarily suspended its flights to and from Mumbai till April 30.
