April 27, 2021: Air Seychelles will operate a series of new charter flights from Romania’s capital city Bucharest, commencing April 30.

The 9-hour flight, to be operated using A320neo aircraft, will make an intermediate stop at Cairo International Airport for refueling before continuing onto Seychelles. The service is scheduled until May 17, 2021.

Remco Althuis, CEO of Air Seychelles, said, “Since the reopening of Seychelles to the world, visitors have been looking at destinations providing ease of access upon entry for their travel. Seychelles is now becoming an increasingly attractive destination and as the flag carrier, it is important that we seize business opportunities once available to recover and sustain our operations. We are pleased to establish the bridge with Romania through the charter opportunities to support tourism, trade and economic development in the Seychelles.”

To support tourism and economic growth on the island and to further build the link between Bucharest and the Seychelles, the national carrier will also operate additional charter services in August and December on this route.
