July 29, 2019: Air Namibia will up its service between Windhoek-Cape Town and Windhoek-Johannesburg from August 10. The route will be serviced by A319.

The Johannesburg flight will be increased to 21 flights per week from the current 14, and Cape Town will have 14 flights from seven per week. Seven of the Cape Town rotations will be direct and non-stop; the other seven rotations will be via Walvis Bay.

Xavier Masule, interim CEO, Air Namibia, also announced a change in flights to Luderitz and Oranjemund. "Our domestic flights to Luderitz and Oranjemund effective July 29, operate from Eros Airport, and no longer from Hosea Kutako International Airport." He said the change would enable same-day connections from Eros to/from Luderitz/Oranjemund and Ondangwa.

Air Namibia has withdrawn services in June after the airline suspended operations to Luanda and reduced frequencies on few routes.
