May 07, 2019: Air Italy, a partner airline of Qatar Airways will be flying to two destinations in East Africa this winter. Mombasa and Zanzibar will be operated by using an A330.

Air Italy has seen a rapid rollout of long haul destinations since Qatar Airways acquired a 49 percent stake in 2017. As of April 24, 2019, Qatar Airways entered into a new codeshare agreement with Air Italy.

Qatar Airways Cargo currently offers global customers belly-hold cargo capacity to and from the Italian cities of Milan, Rome, Venice and Pisa. The cargo carrier also operates five B777Fs and two A330 freighters each week to Milan, taking its combined cargo capacity to Italy to more than 1,100 tonnes each week.
