Dec 10, 2018: Air Austral, a French airline and Air Madagascar have launched a new code shared flight connection between Reunion’s Roland Garros International Airport and the southern Malagasy city of Fort Dauphin.
The two weekly flights will be operated by a B737-800, each by Air Austral and Air Madagascar. On its return, the service will be routed from Fort Dauphin to Reunion via the city of Toliara, also located in the south of Madagascar.
Air Austral in 2017 won the bid to partner Air Madagascar and promptly acquired a 49 percent stake in the airline. Both airlines have since launched a number of code shared services including flights to Europe and Asia.
